TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A man has been arrested, accused of raping a family member.
Alexander Swatts is being charged with sexual battery by familial or custodial authority.
According to court documents, the Leon County Sheriff's Office was notified by the Department of Children and Families regarding the allegations against Swatts.
The victim reported that the incidents would happen about twice a month and started while she was in middle school. The victim said that the last incident happened when she was 16.
Documents say that Swatts threatened the victim not to tell anyone or he would kill her mother.
The report says that, based on a forensic interview, investigators were able to find positive evidence of sexual abuse to the victim by Swatts.
Swatts was taken into custody on Monday and remains in the Leon County Jail on a $20,000 bond.
