TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A Tallahassee man has been arrested after exposing himself to a woman on Florida State University's bike trail.

Enrique Correa, 36, was arrested by the Leon County Sheriff's Office on Thursday.

On June 30, at about 2:24 p.m., Florida State University police were conducting a security check of the FSU bike trial.

Officers were flagged down by the victim in response to Correa exposing himself to her.

While officers were talking with the victim, Correa walked out of the bushes on the bike trial and the victim identified him as the man who exposed himself to her.

The police reports states, officers then made contact with Correa and put him in handcuffs.

While talking with officers, Correa said that he exposed himself so that he could urinate next to a tree and that's when he saw the victim walking down the bike trail.

He stated he turned away from the victim.

The victim told officers that Correa jumped out from behind a tree, which got her attention.

She said that after Correa jumped out from behind the tree, he lowered his pants and exposed himself.

Officers stated due to the fact that indecent exposure in public is a misdemeanor, which did not take place in the presence of law enforcement, no on-view arrest was made.

Based on the evidence, Correa is being charged with indecent exposure in public.

He was taken to the Leon County Detention Facility and his bond has been set at $500.
