TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Lowe's Home Improvement store has announced that they will be hiring 59 seasonal employees in Tallahassee.

The company said that it will hire more than 45,000 seasonal employees to help customers during spring, what the store says is the busiest time of year for the home improvement industry.

In-store seasonal positions include cashiers, lawn and garden associates, stockers and assemblers of outdoor products.

Lowe's is also hiring loaders to assist the increasing number of customers who order products online and pick them up at their local store, a trend company officials say accounts for approximately 60 percent of Lowe’s online orders.

The company plans to hire 2,138 seasonal employees in Florida. In the Tallahassee area, Lowe’s plans to hire for 59 seasonal positions.

Lowe's will also be hiring in Georgia. They have reported that they will be looking to hire 37 people in the Albany area, 15 in Valdosta, 13 in Thomasville, and 5 in Tifton.
