TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - The FSU Presidential Search Advisory Committee met Monday to narrow down the four finalists up for the top job. However, the committee agreed to keep each finalist in the running.

According to the presidential search's website, the committee was supposed to "recommend no fewer than three finalists" to the Board of Trustees at Monday's meeting.

Therefore, the Board of Trustees will be interviewing four candidates Tuesday morning, before meeting to decide on the next president of Florida State University. Tuesday's Board of Trustees meeting will be open to the public and available for webcast. FSU says that the meeting is planned to start at 2pm. The agenda can be found here.

The FSU presidential search has had its fair share of critics, especially among faculty and on social media.

According to the Tallahassee Democrat, students and faculty were united in order to stop the only non-academic candidate, Senator John Thrasher from moving forward with his interview with the Board of Trustees. The vote to eliminate Thrasher failed by 17 to 7.
