TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- Children mixed learning reading, numbers, and colors in an interactive presentation at Tallahassee's Brandon's Place at Lincoln education center Monday morning.
Chief Meteorologist Casanova Nurse participated in the annual "Thanks for Reading" series at the Early Head Start educational center operated by Kids Incorporated of the Big Bend.
Casanova was one of several community volunteers who have read various children's books to a number of preschool classes around the Big Bend region over the last few weeks, emphasizing the importance of, the the joy in, reading at an early age.
Cas read One by Kathryn Otashi to about a dozen kids and their teachers at the Brandon's Place classroom. The book described color characters, behavioral skills, and number counting.
This was Cas's fourth consecutive year as a volunteer reader in the event.
