TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Today is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.
It's a way for people to honor and show gratitude for those with their lives on the line every day to protect our community.
Even though it's only one day out of the year, local police say they're grateful for the recognition.
The organization F3 Tallahassee also held a National Law Enforcement Appreciation event over the weekend, marching through the streets and laying a wreath at the officers' memorial outside the Tallahassee Police Department station.
