VCS School Nutrition Program returns Thursday, delivering free food to school children

VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) — The Valdosta City School Food Nutrition Program returns Thursday morning, providing breakfast and lunch to all students up to 18 years of age at no cost.

Beginning Thursday, August 6 through Monday, August 31 drive-thru meals will be available on the campuses of Pinevale, Sallas Mahone, S.L. Mason and W.G. Nunn Elementary Schools from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. or until all meals are gone.

The neighborhood delivery routes will begin at 10:30 a.m. and will run until all meals are gone.

The service will run Monday through Friday for the remainder of August and lunches will be served hot.
