Valdosta authorities surprise family with gifts after they lost everything in apartment fire

VALDOSTA, Ga. — The Valdosta Fire and Police Departments surprised a family with gifts after they lost everything in an apartment fire.

Michelle Clayton and her two children received toys and kitchen supplies. The family was also given clothing vouchers through Living Bridges Ministry.

Clayton and her family lost their home, including recently purchased Christmas gifts for the kids on Wednesday as a result of a fire.

Clayton says she was shocked by the support her family received from both VPD & VFD.
