LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — The Florida Department of Health has confirmed two more positive coronavirus cases in Leon County.

Monday, two Leon County residents were confirmed positive for COVID-19.

The first case, a 31-year-old woman, was confirmed Monday morning while the second case, a 34-year-old man, was confirmed late Monday afternoon.

Both cases are travel-related, though FDOH has not yet released where the patients went before testing positive.

Leon County now has seven confirmed positive cases where the patients were either Leon County residents or were diagnosed in Leon County.

Last week, Capital Regional Medical Center confirmed two COVID-19 cases in the county after two patients who visited a Capital Regional free-standing emergency room tested positive for coronavirus. CRMC announced their positive cases just after Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare announced that a patient it was treating for COVID-19 died.

FDOH reported Leon County's first technical case of COVID-19 when a Leon County resident tested positve for the disease in another state.
