Two COVID-19 cases confirmed at Bainbridge Probation Substance Abuse Center

BAINBRIDGE, Ga.(WTXL) — The Georgia Department of Corrections has reported two confirmed cases of COVID-19 at the Bainbridge Probation Substance Abuse Treatment Center.

According to GDC's website, one of the cases is a staff member and the other case is an offender.

The Bainbridge PSAT is located in Decatur County and serves to help high risk, high needs offenders that have a history of substance use.

This is the same facility where three inmates escaped from on Tuesday morning.

At this time, authorities have not released any other details about the confirmed COVID-19 cases.
