TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — The COVID-19 crisis has forced the closure of businesses across the globe including gyms.

Experts say exercise could help people stay mentally fit. Train Fight Win in Tallahassee is a local business that is seeking to knockout the stress of staying home.

There’s no doubt routines have been interrupted for millions of Americans. Some relied on the gym before or after going to the office.

Train Fight Win, on Apalachee Parkway, has different martial arts disciplines since 2012.

Co-owner Sky Rudloe calls his members warriors and when the gym closed its doors last month, classes weren’t cancelled.

Rudloe went beyond the ropes taking to Facebook for both members and non-members.

I knew I wanted to do something to keep some sense of normalcy,” said Rudloe. “It’s such an important part of so many people’s mental well being, the working out and the community here. While I couldn’t maintain the status quo as was, I did want to give them something to keep them active in the gym and still keep that martial arts mindset.”

The classes are free on the Train Fight Win Tallahassee Facebook page.
