TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — The Tallahassee Police Department says an early morning robbery at Best Buy lead them to arrest a Texas man who could be connected to a national burglary ring targeting Best Buy stores.
Police say the CDA received an alarm call from the Best Buy on Apalachee Parkway just after 3:00 a.m. Wednesday morning.
When officers arrived, they saw a suspect running away. After a short chase, that suspect, 20-year-old Quinton Harris, was apprehended.
Through an investigation, police learned that there were other suspects involved in the robbery.
TPD says Harris is from Texas.
Now, TPD is coordinating with several other agencies to determine if there is any indication Harris is part of a group of travelers who have been conducting Best Buy burglaries throughout the U.S.
Harris has been charged with burglary, possession of burglary tools, grand theft more than $10,000, criminal mischief, and resisting arrest.
An investigation is still ongoing and additional charges may be pending.
