TPD arrests suspect in fatal stabbing on Cactus Street

Tallahassee police say the suspect in a fatal stabbing on Cactus Street has been arrested.

The Tallahassee Police Department says the the homicide occurred Tuesday shortly before 4 a.m., in the 100 block of Cactus Street.

Officers responded to a report of a fight and arrived to discover the victim had been injured with a knife.

The adult male victim was transported to a local hospital where he ultimately passed away.

Based on results of the investigation and evidence from the scene, the suspect was identified as 51-year-old Robert Sean Hernandez.

He was arrested and is being charged with second degree murder.

Tallahassee Police Investigators are still asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident, but did not speak with an officer on scene, or anyone with information about the stabbing to please call 850-891-4200.
