TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Thousands of Florida teachers and supporters will be gathering at the steps of the old Capital for the “Take on Tallahassee Rally” on Monday.
Due to the anticipated crowd size, The Tallahassee Police Department will be closing Monroe Street for the safety of the participants.
The following intersections will be closed from 1:00pm – 4:30pm on Monday.
Road Closures:
Northbound Monroe Street at Gaines Street
Southbound Monroe Street at College Avenue
Westbound Apalachee Parkway at Franklin Ave
Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area and take alternate routes. TPD says they will advise when the roadways will reopen.
