VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - — A teenager is dead after a high-speed chase with officers in Valdosta.
Deputies said 19-year Catavin Napier sped off after they tried to pull him over around 11:30 Saturday night. Deputies said he was going about 100 miles per hour at the time.
Authorities put stop sticks on the ground around Knights Academy Road but Napier lost control and flipped over. Officials pronounced Napier dead at the scene.
He had two other people in the car at the time. No word yet on their condition.
Georgia State Patrol is still investigating.
