TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — For seniors who have been isolated from visitors during COVID-19, any type of communication can be a lifeline.

In addition to plans to lift the ban on visitors announced by Governor DeSantis on Tuesday, students at Tallahassee Community College wanted to bring a little sunshine in the safest way possible to brighten their day.

"We'll sanitize the cards, place them in ziplock bags, and package them in a box, take them over to Miracle Hill on Friday," said Charlie David, the director of Student Life at TCC.

Decorating tables will be set up in the Student Union.

Students can create cards, poems, and signs to be delivered to residents of the Miracle Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
