GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. — A Tallahassee taxicab driver has been arrested after admitting to sexually assaulting a woman while taking her back to her home in Gadsden County.

Morton Leon Johnson, 65, of Tallahassee is charged with sexual battery and lewd and lascivious behavior after an investigation was done following a complaint by the victim.

The victim told investigators that she used a taxi to get from Gadsden County to Leon County for her doctor's appointment on Tuesday.

Investigators learned that Johnson pulled his taxi onto the shoulder of High Bridge Road near a wooded area between Midway and Quincy when he got into the back seat of the taxi van and began to fondle the victim.

The taxi driver was later identified as Johnson, who subsequently admitted to investigators that he did sexually assault the woman.

Johnson was arrested and is being held in the Gadsden County Jail.

He was operating the taxi by City Taxi of Tallahassee.

We reached out to City Taxi, but they declined to comment at this time.
