Tallahassee Greek Festival canceled due to COVID-19

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Tallahassee Greek Food Festival has canceled the 2020 Greek Fest die to the coronavirus pandemic.

Organizers with the event said they are working to reschedule the event for early 2021.

The event was scheduled to take place on January 31 from 11: a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Greek Orthodox Church on Phillips Road

The organizers said in a statement:

"As so many people and businesses have made over the past several months, we made the tough decision to cancel the 2020 Tallahassee Greek Food Festival. We are completely devastated, but this decision was made with the health and safety of our community in mind. We are working on a date for early in 2021, as hopefully COVID-19 cases decrease and we can serve the community delicious Greek food and warm hospitality."
