TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — It's been one week since end of session here in Florida.
The Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce gathered Thursday morning for a recap about what the session means for the business industry in our city and state.
The Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce hosted the forum. Some of the successes touched on were the recent bills passed, such as property insurance reform, tax cut packages, and more.
Overall, business leaders say the legislative session was a positive one for the business community.
"I'm very proud that Florida had a strong dose of civility in the way we debated," said Dave Hart, Executive Vice President of Governmental and Political Relations for the Florida Chamber of Commerce. "We found plenty of areas to disagree on, but it was done in an adult fashion and set a good example for other states to follow."
Some more hot topics discussed were how to improve educational opportunities and create high wage jobs.
