LIVE OAK, Fla. (WTXL) — Following a severe storm that passed through much of the Big Bend area, Suwannee County officials have warned of potential hazards in the community.
Suwannee Fire Rescue posted a statement on Facebook that said there were reports of downed trees on I-10 and power lines down in numerous locations.
SFR also said that traffic lights were out near intersection of the Fusion Buffet, at 68th Terrance and North Ohio Avenue.
They also shared photos of the damage.
A Suwannee County Emergency Management spokesperson told ABC 27 that it did not appear that a tornado hit the area according to initial damage reports.
"We don't have anything that shows that we've had any type of tornado here," the spokesperson said.
They also said that they are currently working to assess the specific damage caused by the storm.
This is a developing story.
