LIBERTY COUNTY, FL. (WTXL) - — Florida State Patrol is investigating a crash involving a stolen Liberty County deputy's patrol car.
Authorities said 21-year-old Jeffery Holcomb was visiting an off-duty deputy when he took his keys. Witnesses said he took off so they tried following him down County Road 67. Troopers said Holcomb took a sharp left, spun around and crashed into the shoulder of the road -- hitting two trees.
Holcomb is now recovering in the hospital. No word yet on charges
