QUINCY, Fla. (WTXL) — A 17-year-old accused of shooting up a home in Quincy last week has been arrested.

According to the Quincy Police Department, police responded to Gadsden Arms Apartments Wednesday evening after receiving information from an anonymous source that suspects were at the housing complex with a “sawed off shotgun” preparing for a shooting.

Upon their arrival, officers detained numerous suspects including a 17-year-old who was charged with gun charges for this incident at the complex.

When they interviewed witnesses, police charged the teen in connection to a shooting that happened on Sept. 16 in Quincy.

During this incident, police responded to a call after someone fired several rounds from a gun into a house on Arlington Circle in Quincy. People were inside the house, but no one was hurt.

Police say "it was just luck" that no one was killed.

The teen, who police have not identified, has been charged with shooting into an occupied dwelling, discharging a firearm and possession of a firearm by a minor.

The 17-yer-old is being held in the Juvenile Assessment Center in Tallahassee.
