Operation Broken Arrow nets 3 more online child predators, human trafficking

VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) — The Lowndes County Sheriff's Office says three more suspects have been arrested in Operation Broken Arrow, a sting operation targeting online child predators and child traffickers.

This leg of Operation Broken Arrow was a four-day proactive effort centered in Valdosta. Investigators say the arrestees, ranging in age from 20 to 57, traveled from areas around South Georgia with the intent to meet a child for sex.

Investigators say the men believed they were talking to a child under the age of 16 during the operation.

Timothy Thompson was arrested on March 2, Joe Bueno was arrested on February 20 and Hunter Casey was arrested February 28, by the sheriff's office. Their charges are as follows:

Timothy Thompson

Charges: Solicitation of sodomy
Sexual exploitation of a child
Criminal attempt to commit human trafficking
Obscene internet contact with a child

Joe Bueno

Charges: Criminal attempt to commit child molestation
Sexual exploitation of a child
Obscene internet contact with a child

Hunter Casey

Charges: Sexual exploitation of a child
Obscene internet contact with a child

Back in February, 14 people were arrested as apart of the operation, including the Dean of the College of Science and Mathematics for Valdosta State University.

The suspects arrested are facing multiple charges including child pornography and human trafficking and sexual exploitation of a child.
