MARIANNA, Fla. (WTXL) - — A teen boy is mourning the loss of his father after a crash in Marianna Saturday night.
It happened just before 11:30pm on Highway 90. Troopers said 17-year-old Shatashia Deveaux was driving west, when she crossed over the opposite lanes and hit a concrete sidewalk rail.
She had two passengers, 40-year-old Rontarrious Hughes and his 16-year-old son. Hughes died in the crash while Deveaux and the teen went to the hospital.
Both teens are expected to be okay.
Troopers said Hughes was not wearing a seatbelt at the time. Charges are still pending.
