TALLAHASSEE, Fl (WTXL) - — Florida State University announced Odell Haggins will step in as interim FSU head coach.
This is Haggins 26 season on FSU’s coaching staff. Haggins is the FSU defensive line coach. He was put in the Interim role in 2017 when then-head coach "Jimbo Fisher" left.
Haggins led the Noles to a victory over U-L-M the next day to clinch bowl eligibility. The team also won that bowl game under his watch. Haggins starred for the 'Noles at defensive tackle from 19-eighty-six to 19-eighty-nine.
In 2018, Haggins was voted into Florida State's Athletics Hall of Fame.
Florida State is already starting a national search to fill the head coach position.
