TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare has a new way of treating patients with a brain aneurysm.
TMH is the first hospital in the region to get their hands on this new device, the Surpass Streamline Flow Diverter, to help cure patients.
In the first day of getting the device, neurosurgeons completed three cases. TMH has already seen an increase in people who have come to the hospital, who want to get treated.
"This is a new device, not only to the U.S., but to the Southeast. We have become the busiest center in the Southeast with the device," said Dr. Narlin Beaty, Endovascular Neurosurgeon. "We've viewed more here than anywhere else in our region and we're excited to continue to grow."
