TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — A new billboard in the Capitol City is expressing gratitude to law enforcement and first reponders who jumped into action after a mass stabbing at Dyke Industries.

The mass stabbing occurred on the morning of Sept. 11, where multiple victims were injured. Leon County EMS, the Tallahassee Police Department and the Tallahassee Fire Department responded to the area to aid victims.

Fortunately, no one was killed but five victims were transported to Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare. Upon arrival, TPD was able to quickly arrest a man in connection with the workplace stabbing. Other officers tended to the victims using their first aid training and assisted Leon County EMS and TFD.

On the billboard, Dyke Industries displayed a special message to TPD, Leon County EMS, TMH and TFD, whose collaborative work saved five victims' lives.

"Dyke Industries would like to thank all that assisted us on the morning of 9/11/19! Without all of you, our work family would be broken," the message read on the billboard.

Both TPD and Leon County EMS shared pictures of the billboard on Facebook, thanking the company for the kind gesture.
