TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Moody Air Force base conducted a flyover for hospitals and healthcare workers in south Georgia and the Big Bend area.
"In times like these, we tend to forget what we don't see," said Annie Nycz. "And those men and women are out there all the time, no matter what, no matter COVID or not, war or not. They're working hard."
Dozens of people stood outside Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare watching the aircraft above.
"I think awareness is important in any event and any issue," Kelly Mountain said. "I love that they're supporting our healthcare workers and our essential workers and I love that everybody is looking out for each other, because that's really important."
Several military moms were out and say there's nothing like a flyover, especially during this time.
"It's an incredible task that they have," said Lisa Monda, a military mom. "It's not fun, I'm sure. They're exhausted. So, we just have to come out and support the whole community."
Moody also did fly-overs over five hospitals in South Georgia -- including the South Georgia Medical Center.
