COLQUITT COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL) — Miller County and the City of Colquitt are enacting a curfew in response to increasing coronavirus cases across the state.

The curfew will start at 9 p.m. daily and continue until 5 a.m. the next day until further notice.

The only exceptions will be for going to and from work, medical appointments and emergencies.

Officials say the curfew will be strictly enforced. Residents are also asked to limit their gatherings to 10 or less at all times.

The City says violation of curfew may result in fines up to $1,000 and/or 12 months in jail.
