LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — The man who hit and killed Jeremiah Bruce on North Monroe Street back in January has been arrested.
Ryan Denzel Smith-Mosley, 22, has been arrested for the hit-and-run crash that killed 26-year-old Jeremiah Bruce.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened on North Monroe Street near the intersection of Northmont Drive at 9:50 p.m. on Jan. 6.
FHP says Bruce was walking in the southbound lanes of North Monroe Street when a 2013 Chrysler sedan drive by Smith-Mosely, hit Bruce and drove off.
Bruce was transported to Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare with critical injuries after being found in the grass median of North Monroe Street. He later died from his injuries.
FHP was assisted on scene by the Leon County Sheriff's Office, Leon County EMS and the Tallahassee Police Department.
In March, the car believed to be involved in the deadly hit-and-run on North Monroe Street in early January was impounded by the Florida Highway Patrol.
