JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — The Marianna Police Department says Travis Dickson Wilson has been captured in Jackson County.

The lockdown at Marianna Middle School has been lifted.


A manhunt is underway for a man who escaped from the Jackson County Courthouse Tuesday morning.

The Marianna Police Department says Travis Dickson Wilson, 36, escaped from the Jackson County Courthouse Tuesday morning. He was being transported to court for a hearing when he walked off.

He is wearing an orange jumpsuit with a long brown blanket wrapped around him. He was last seen on a surveillance camera heading west on Jackson Street.

Wilson is 5'7" 160 pounds. He is accused of sexual battery with use of a deadly weapon.

Marianna Middle School is currently on a precautionary lockdown due to the escaped inmate. All students are currently secured inside locked classrooms.
