(WTXL) — During this time of the COVID-19 pandemic local schools are making sure education is not forgotten. Here's a list of online educational resources for students in Big Bend and South Georgia counties.
FLORIDA
Leon County - An instructional review of content taught during the first 135 days of school is available online for families to print and complete. Packets are also available for pickup at your child’s school starting on Friday, March 27th. Additionally, packets for all grades are available at the 14 food distribution sites.
Students should begin working on the packets at their own pace on March 30th. Schools will provide directions to parents regarding the return of packets. More information here: https://www.leonschools.net/Page/41465

Wakulla County - Students will have access to digital materials and instructional activities to remain engaged in learning during the time schools may remain closed. The county began distributing their 'EdPacks' last Monday. More information here: https://www.wakullaschooldistrict.org/covid-19-plan
Franklin County - On March 26 and March 27, the district will begin passing out devices for remote instruction. Remote instruction to begin Monday, March 30 with details to be sent to parents this week.
Jackson County - Teachers will begin contacting parents again on Monday, March 30 with remote instructional learning materials.

Hamilton County - Online courses/packets will be available here starting on Monday, March 30
Suwannee County - SCSD will resume instructional services for all students on Monday, March 30. You will be able to access those packets here.
Taylor County - The Taylor County School Board will be holding a meeting to discuss plan for student learning through April 15.
Lafayette County - District is sill working on a plan for remote education. Latest updates here.
Liberty County - Full plan here. Students will be assigned assignments through Parent Square, Clever and other resources. Students receiving paper-based instruction will have delivered weekly assignment packets and communicate with their teacher via phone, etc to obtain directions and support. Completed student work packets will be picked up weekly and provided to teachers for review and feedback.
Teacher created lesson plans will be delivered via parent square or Zoom for online instruction using the resources in the chart above. Teachers will access these online resources through CLEVER. The district has added information about their plan for parents and students to the district website, located at www.lcsb.org.
GEORGIA
Thomas County - The school system will be providing distance learning opportunities for our students during the school closures. More information will follow regarding how students can access the digital instruction that will be provided for them. For now parents and students can call the Buzz Helpline at 229-413-1234 for assistance and check here for updates.
Lowndes County - For students and families who may not have access to an internet network or may not have access to a digital device, hard copies of the instructional review activities will be available at the food distribution locations beginning on March 24.

Decatur County - During this time away from school, the district has provided online resources for parents. Students can continue their active learning by visiting www.dcboe.com.
Colquitt County - The district will utilize part of the Google Suite of communication options already including Google apps and Google hangouts.
Online sessions will be available to students beginning on March 30th, and sessions will be recorded and sent through Remind to students and their parents enrolled in the course. Check here for updates.
