TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — The Leon County Sheriff's Office has identified the man who died in Wednesday’s house fire on Tower Wood Trailas 45-year-old Marcus Jackson.
Deputies say the woman who was also hurt in the fire remains in critical condition.
Her identity has not been released at this time.
The fire happened at 12:58 a.m. on Wednesday, in the 5500 block of Tower Wood Trail located in northwest Leon County.
Authorities say the fire caused an estimated $130,000 in damages and the home is considered a total loss.
The fire is still under investigation by the Tallahassee Fire Department and State of Florida’s Division of Financial Services, Division of Investigative and Forensic Services.
