TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Leon County deputies are searching for a "trickster" who made his escape in a black Mercedes after racking up more than $900 in illegal purchases during a multi-store crime spree.
The Leon County Sheriff's Office says that on March 22 around 2 p.m., a "trickster" went on a multi-store crime spree. They say the suspect went to Publix, Target and CVS and managed to rack up more than $900 in illegal purchases.
During the crimes, the suspect purchased small items and had cashiers load money onto prepaid gift cards, paying for all the transactions with a fraudulent credit card.
LCSO says the suspect was then seen driving away in a black Mercedes.
