TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Major Lawrence Revell was officially sworn-in as the new Tallahassee Police Chief Monday.
About a couple hundred people all came out to the Jack McLean Community Center with nothing but love for Chief Lawrence Revell. You can watch the full swearing in below (story continues below video):
From the beginning, it started in prayer and ended in prayer as pastors from around Tallahasee joined in and welcomed Revell with open arms. Chief Revell says what he's focused on now is the community helping him, curb crime.
Interim chief Steve Outlaw also spoke in support of him. He'll stay on the job for the next two weeks to assist in the transition period
