TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Families at Sabal Palm Community School will soon have a new place to break a sweat right behind their school with a new educational bike path.
The initiative was brought together by several partners that make up the Knight Creative Communities Institute Community Partnership group.
It's supposed to resemble "real-life situations" on a basketball court, off-roads, and a training area for hot days.
Anna-Kay Hutchinson, the director of Community Partnership, says she's excited to see how it can benefit incoming students this fall
"We do have a huge hiking community and biking community so this is just another way for them to find safety not only just exercise," said Hutchinson. "Especially at this time when it's so very important."
The group says they hope to begin construction as early as next week.
