TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — A Florida A&M student wants to make a change this Juneteenth to help support the Black Lives Matter movement.
"Goodies for a Change" will be held at Cascades Park to support the movement, the same place where the Justice for Humanity event was held.
This time, Gabriela Sevrin is organizing a donation drive for the Color of Change Foundation, a civil rights advocacy group centered around change and justice for African Americans.
Sevrin says right now, a little can go a long way.
"We can't wait around for somebody like a celebrity who has something to offer to help us, even with the smallest thing that we have can do, the smallest thing to create a bigger change," said Sevrin.
Goodies for Change is Friday, June 19 at noon. "Goodies" will be $2 each.
