TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — It's a dream come true 24 students from Hartsfield Elementary are going to New York City to perform at Carnegie Hall.
The school made the announcement Wednesday evening at a pep rally.
$65,000 was raised by students and the community to make it happen.
The students will be in NYC from February 27 through March 1.
Ms. Jackson, the chorus teacher, is so proud of the work her students have put in to make this dream a reality.
"I am beyond ecstatic for the students that they will get this wonderful opportunity of one going to the big apple and two having a wonderful experience of performing in Carnegie Hall," said Arnequa Jackson.
The students are still in need of winter clothes to take on the trip. If you have some you would like to donate, you can drop them off at Hartsfield Elementary (: 1414 Chowkeebin Nene, Tallahassee, FL 32301).
