TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — The Hartsfield Elementary School chorus showed off their talent at the Leon County School Board meeting Tuesday night.

This special group has been invited to perform at New York's Carnegie Hall, the most prestigious music venue in the world, in March.

They need your help raising $65,000 to get them there. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity for these amazing kids!

Their chorus director, Ms. Jackson, was on our Second Cup show Wednesday morning to explain what the school is doing to get help funding the trip.

She said 25 students, plus chaperones, will make that 22 hour bus ride. They're also taking donations for cold weather clothes for the students.

You can donate to help them out. They still need about $30,000. Their goal is to raise the $65,000 by January 1, 2020.

The school is accepting checks made out to the Hartsfield Elementary Chorus, sent to 1414 Chowkeebin Nene. To donate online, click here.
