TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) — This weekend will be mostly sunny and hot, with a chance of scattered storms Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Below are some events happening around the Big Bend and South Georgia, Friday, August 21st through Sunday, August 23rd.
Big Bend:
- Havana Food Truck Fridays: August 21st from 4:00-8:00 p.m. off N Main St. S&M Diner Express, All American Roasted Corn, and more will be there.
- 9th Annnual Big Bend Rodeo: August 21st and 22nd at Gadsden Horsemans Arena. There will be barrel racing, calf roping, bull riding, and more. Tickets are $15/person. Kids 4 and under get in free. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. with the show starting at 8:00 p.m.
- Tallahassee Farmers Market: August 22nd from 8:00 a.m.-Noon off Kerry Forest Pkwy. Fresh produce, meats, baked goods, specialty beverages, jellies, jams, and pickled goods will be available.
- Downtown Market in Tallahassee: August 22nd from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Ponce De Leon Park. There will be dozens of local artists, craft vendors, and food trucks.
- Havana Market: August 22nd from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Havana History & Heritage Museum. There will be fresh produc, handmade goods, and more.
- 20th Annual Parrothead Phrenzy in Tallahassee: August 22nd, beginning at 7:00 p.m. at The Moon. Tickets are $50 and include a T-shirt. Proceeds will benefit the Alzheimer’s Project, Inc.
- Leon County Public Libraries will be hosting several events through Sunday, including the 8th Annual Cosmic Con. There are events for all ages.
South Georgia:
- American Soundtrack Vol. XIII in Valdosta: August 22nd from 7:00-11:00 p.m. at the Rainwater Conference Center. There will be music, dancing, food, and more. Tickets are $75 and still available.
