TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — One of Tallahassee's highly-esteemed breweries has announced that it is closing its doors for good on July 15.
GrassLands Brewing Company announced Monday morning that it is permanently closing on July 15. The brewery first opened in 2015 at 603 West Gaines Street.
"We wanted to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who has supported GrassLands since we first opened our doors in 2015," the company wrote in a Facebook post. "Your support, both direct and indirect, has meant the world to us and we feel like we’ve been an active part of both the Tallahassee community and greater craft beer industry since day 1."
The company says that they will host a weekend-long sendoff party from July 12 through the 14 and will begin touting discounted beer and gear specials on Tuesday.
"We want to convey our deepest gratitude to this community, our brewing industry friends (you know who you are) our amazing brewery family, and our investment families. Thank you for over four amazing years, Tallahassee – we look forward to toasting the next step with all of you over the next week and weekend."
Later on in the week, they will release information about events surrounding their closing.
