(WTXL) — Andrew Gillum has launched a Florida voter registration group dedicated to beating President Donald Trump's re-election bid in Florida, the nation's largest swing state.
Former Tallahassee mayor and Democrat nominee for governor officially announced the effort on Wednesday at a speech in Miami Gardens.
One of the groups working with Gillum, Bring it Home Florida, named after his signature campaign phrase, was registered last week by his supporters with the state election division overseeing third-party voter registration organizations.
Gillum said he wants to register one million voters by Election Day in 2020.
