ADEL, Ga. (WTXL) — Georgia authorities are investigating after two men found men with gunshot wounds in Adel died on New Year's Eve.
According to the Georgia Bureau of investigation, the Douglas Regional Office assisted the Adel Police Department with a death investigation on New year's Eve.
On Tuesday, APD received a 911 call reporting a shooting in the vicinity of 305 North Adams Street.
When officers arrived on scene, they found two victims with gunshot wounds.
GBI says 34-year-old Quinten Payne was already deceased when officers arrived.
Cody Robinson,29, was transported to a local hospital, where he later died.
Authorities say Payne and Robinson’s final cause of death will be determined during the autopsy by the GBI Medical Examiner’s Office in Macon.
