GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — In Gadsden County, residents also saw a lot of damage from Sunday night's storm.

Many of those living in Gadsden County say they feel lucky to be alive.

Video shows down trees, damage to the roofs of homes, as well blown out windows of cars. A couple says the moments leading up to powerful winds were the most frightening they've ever experienced.

"We were in the bathroom. We could hear the pressure in the house, glass shattering, things felt like your ears were about top pop, like you were on plane or something, but afterwards we were happy things turned out O.K.," said Michael and Gwendolyn Simmons, who are county residents. "You can replace material things."

Our First Alert Weather team says there was a "radar-confirmed" tornado in Gadsden County, but the National Weather Service has not yet released any survey results from the area.
