GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — The Florida Department of Health in Gadsden County in partnership with Gadsden County Emergency Management, the Board of County Commissioners and the Sheriff’s Office, have decided to expand their COVID-19 Information Call Center.

The decision was made on Tuesday morning, during a meeting with county officials.

FDOH says the call center will operate Monday through Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM, and can be reached at (850)743-6070.

Dr. Adrian Cooksey stated, “One thing that we all realize in our response efforts is that it takes coordination and collaboration on the local level. Several of our community partners have furloughed employees who are now able to return to the workforce and help us better serve the present needs in our community.”

The call center staff will be available to answer questions and provide accurate information regarding COVID-19 and how residents can protect themselves and others.

It will also provide up to date case information for the county, available resources in the county, as well as information regarding local response efforts.
