VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) — Services are set to remember the Valdosta teen who was shot and killed during a party over the weekend.

Desiyunna Hill, 18, was shot twice outside the Academy of Excellence early Saturday morning. We're told more than 200 people attended the event.

There will be a candlelight vigil Thursday night in the parking lot of Serenity Church on North Lee Street. It starts at 7 p.m.

Participants should bring candles. And if you're part of the Valdosta Senior Class of 2020, you're asked to please bring a purple balloon.

There will be a public viewing on Friday from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. at Godfrey Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life for Desiyunna is set for Saturday morning at 11 a.m. at the Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church on Howell Road. Dr. William C. Morgan is the pastor and Dr. Julia Grant Berry will officiate the ceremony.

Sympathy for the family may be expressed by signing the online registry at www.godfreyfuneralhome.net.
