TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Every year, Florida State uses their Great Give campaign to raise money for the university, but this year, the students need it more.
It was supposed to take place March 24 and 25, but the date was pushed back with a new mission in mind.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, most students are away from campus, but many of them are struggling to pay their bills.
So, the FSU Foundation decided to do something about it.
"Whatever income that the student lost as a result of everything going on right now," said Sarishni Patel, director of Giving FSU Foundation. "The application process is there for them to tell us what their greatest need is. And we're going to try and address as many of those as possible."
Those donations will be accepted at GreatGive.FSU.edu until 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday.
