TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Florida State University is moving its classes online for the rest of the 2020 spring semester.
Florida State University administrators say they made the decision after Gov. DeSantis’ recommended that all of Florida's universities transition to deliver all academic courses online for the remainder of the spring semester.
The university says more guidance on the move will be shared later this week.
On Tuesday, DeSantis announced that four University of Florida students tested positive for COVID-19. DeSantis also announced that all bars and nightclubs in the state will stop operating for 30 days, starting 5 p.m. on Tuesday.
