TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — The annual event is designed to educate the Florida Legislature and all Floridians about the vital role tourism plays in job creation and a low tax burden in Florida.
At 1p .m. advocates, joined by guest speakers, rallied at the Capitol Building. At 5 p.m. the Florida Tourism Day Street Party will light up Tallahassee's downtown area.
Adams Street between College and Pensacola streets are set to close down for the downtown party at 4 p.m.
