TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Congratulations to Kristin Wilson, a science teacher at Florida High and one of five finalists for the 2021 Florida Teacher of the Year award!
Wilson is two-time graduate of FSU with a masters in Science Curriculum and Instruction.
She says she misses seeing her students in person dearly and never saw this honor coming.
"I was speechless because I just feel at our school, Florida High, we have so many deserving teachers," said Wilson. "Just to be nominated as the teacher of the year was amazing enough. I didn't expect to get top five at all."
The winner for teacher of the year will be announced later this summer.
